What is the difference between the Recreation program and the Youth Academy?
The recreation program is a league open to 4-14 year old players where everyone is placed on teams and play a number of games during the course of a season. The Youth Academy is a development program that is led by our Select Coaching staff that helps our young players develop skills through a series of fun, age-appropriate activities and drills. Youth Academy players will not play formal soccer games but might have the opportunity to play small-sided scrimmages from time-to-time against other Youth Academy participants.
How do I register for the program?
Simply log in to your Eastside FC account by clicking on the "Log In" at the top of page and follow the prompts to select the Youth Academy program. If you do not have a Eastside FC account, go ahead and create one by following the prompts after clicking the "Register" button. Please remember your username and password as you will need it to access your account in the future.
What equipment will my child need?
Shin guards and a soccer ball are required. Shorts, soccer socks, cleats, and a water bottle are recommended. Players must wear shin guards under socks.
Who facilitates the Youth Academy sessions?
Eastside FC Select program coaching staff will facilitate all Academy sessions.
